Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept insurance?

    • I currently do not accept insurance.  Keeping my practice small and self-pay allows me to provide highly personalized services for each individual child without limitations given by insurance. I can provide a superbill for services.  If you have Out of Network benefits through your insurance provider, it may be possible to submit this superbill for reimbursement for speech therapy services.  It is the responsibility of the client's parent/guardian to contact their insurance provider to verify coverage and submit claims for reimbursement.  This is not guaranteed.  Payment is due at the time of service.  â€‹

  • How much do services cost?

    • Individual 30 minute therapy sessions are $50.  Individual 45 minute sessions are $75.  Both can be paid with check or cash.

  • What is the difference between private and school based speech therapy?

    • To qualify for school based speech therapy, a child’s speech and/or language skills need to impact their academic performance. School services are typically done in a group setting and provided only during the school year.  Private speech therapy is not bound to academic performance or specific guidelines and can be provided no matter how mild or severe the diagnosis. Private services are individual and can be provided year round.

  • My child receives speech therapy at school, do they need private speech services?

    • That is up to you! There are benefits to receiving extra support.
